Devotional:

In Deuteronomy 3–4, Moses continues recounting the journey of Israel—God’s victories over kings like Og and Sihon, and the reminder that while Moses himself would not enter the Promised Land, God’s faithfulness would continue with the next generation.

What stands out in these chapters is Moses’ deep desire for the people to remember and pass on what they’ve seen and heard. He urges them not to forget the miracles, the covenant, and the voice of God they experienced at Mount Horeb.

As moms, this speaks directly to our call: to steward the stories of God’s faithfulness in our lives and share them with our children. Our children may not have seen the battles we’ve fought or the miracles we’ve witnessed firsthand, but they can know about them through our testimonies.

Moses pleads with the people: “Be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen… Teach them to your children and to their children after them” (Deut. 4:9).

This is a powerful reminder that one of the most important things we can pass down isn’t just good behavior or life skills—it’s a heart that knows, honors, and loves God.

Reflection Questions:

✨ What stories of God’s faithfulness do you need to share more often with your children?

✨ How are you being intentional about building a legacy of faith in your home?

✨ Are there areas in your own life where you need to remember and return to what God has already done?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the many ways You’ve been faithful in my life. Help me not to forget what You’ve done, and give me the courage and wisdom to share it with my children. Let my life and words plant seeds of faith in their hearts. May our home be one where Your name is honored and remembered for generations. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

💛 Your story matters. Let your children see a living testimony of God’s goodness and faithfulness through you.
