Day 56: Don’t Forget Who Brought You Here
In Deuteronomy 8–9, Moses reminds the Israelites of all God had done for them—and warns them not to forget. He urges them to remember that it was God who fed them, led them, humbled them, and kept them alive in the wilderness. Not their strength. Not their wisdom. Not their righteousness. But God's faithfulness.
As moms, this passage hits home. We often carry the weight of caring for others, making decisions, managing the home, and trying to do everything “right.” It’s easy to forget that we didn’t get to where we are by our own power—it’s been God’s grace every step of the way.
We may look back at seasons of hardship—tight finances, health struggles, emotional exhaustion—and realize we didn’t just make it through. God carried us. He provided manna in our desert. He protected us when we didn’t know it. He strengthened us when we wanted to quit.
This week’s reminder is simple yet powerful: Don’t forget. Don’t forget the One who sustained you. As you keep moving forward, remember to stay humble and rooted in God’s grace.
Reflection Questions:
✨ Can you identify a season where God carried you through something difficult?
✨ Are there areas in your life right now where you're tempted to rely on your own strength?
✨ What intentional rhythms can you build into your life to help you remember God daily?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for every step You’ve walked with me—especially the ones I didn’t notice. Help me not to forget Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and Your mercy. I don’t want to rely on myself, Lord. Teach me to live in remembrance and gratitude, trusting You to guide me forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
🪵 Just like the Israelites, we’re prone to forget. But choosing to remember—daily, intentionally—will keep our hearts soft, our faith strong, and our perspective rooted in God's truth. 💛
