Day 45: A Way Made for Us
Leviticus 16 outlines the Day of Atonement, a sacred moment in Israel’s calendar when the high priest entered the Most Holy Place to make atonement for the sins of the people. This wasn’t a casual event—it involved detailed rituals, a heart of humility, and a clear recognition of how holy God is and how deeply sin separates us from Him.
Chapter 17 then emphasizes the importance of the life in the blood, making it clear that blood was central to the atonement process. Together, these chapters point us forward to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, our perfect High Priest, who didn’t just enter the Holy of Holies once a year—but tore the veil and made a way for us to have daily access to God’s presence.
As moms, it’s easy to feel like we have to earn God's approval—especially when we miss a quiet time, lose our temper, or feel overwhelmed by life's demands. But these chapters remind us that our access to God isn’t based on how perfect we are—it’s based on what Jesus already did.
You don’t need to wait for a holy moment to meet with God. Because of Christ, you carry His presence with you—in your car, at the sink, during nap time, and in the middle of bedtime chaos. You are no longer on the outside looking in. You have full access. The way has been made.
Reflection Questions:
✨ How does knowing you have access to God at any moment change the way you approach your day?
✨ Are there areas of guilt or shame that you need to lay at the cross today, knowing atonement has been made?
✨ How can you cultivate daily reminders of your nearness to God—even in the middle of mom life?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for making a way for me to come close. Thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses me and gives me access to Your presence every single day. Help me to walk in that awareness—to bring my burdens, my joys, and my everyday moments to You. I don’t want to live distant from You when You’ve already invited me in. Thank You for the gift of atonement and the freedom I now live in. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
💛 God has made a way for you, mama—not just for forgiveness but for fellowship. Walk boldly into His presence today.
