Peaceful Exchange Between Siblings

‘And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.’ 

-Zech 8:5

Lord, let my children remain friends of each other!

One of the silent strategies the enemy is introducing into families is sibling rivalry, and heated exchanges, bitter fights between siblings. It is a case where a sibling just dislikes their own sibling, it could go to the extent of siblings wishing ill on their own siblings. This is not the plan of God.

It is a form of rejection operating in families. We must not allow the enemy have a field day in our homes. We have got to send him out. 

We can start by checking ourselves, do we practice favoritism in our homes? Is one child preferable to you than the others? 

You have to find a way to remind them that you love them equally and each one of them is special to you.

Lets pray!

Father, thank you for giving me children that I can call my own.

Lord, I pray that you would bind my children together in love.

Father, I reject the spirit of strife from my children’s lives.

My children shall play together in Jesus name. Amen

Lord Jesus, remove sibling rivalry from my home in Jesus name.

Lord, shed the love of God in the hearts of my children one to another in my home in Jesus name.

Our homes shall not be wrestling competition grounds for our children in Jesus name. They shall love and serve one another in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer Moment

Have you noticed that your children combat each other in words and in a fight sometimes that is not normal? Deliberately pray about it and speak to them about appropriate behaviour so they do not grow up with a strife orientation towards each other.

Lord, heal our children’s hearts, let your love reign in their hearts one to another in Jesus name. Amen.

Lord, give me the wisdom to handle such situations in my home or around me in Jesus name. Amen.
