Hello again, Kingdom Wives! We’ve tackled prayer, communication, and forgiveness, and now, it’s time to explore what it means to create a home where love, respect, and faith come alive. Imagine your home as a place of peace, filled with laughter, warm hugs, and the aroma of freshly baked cookies. (Okay, maybe skip the cookies if baking isn’t your thing!) Let’s dive into creating a kingdom atmosphere, with lessons from some of the most inspiring women of the Bible.
Sarah: Trusting God with a Dash of Laughter
Sarah, the wife of Abraham, wasn’t perfect, but her story reminds us that even in our doubt, God works wonders. When God told her she would have a child in her old age, Sarah laughed. She probably imagined the impossible — and yet, God proved her wrong in the best way (Genesis 18:12-14).
A joyful home is one where you can let go, laugh, and enjoy the unexpected moments. Life gets busy and can feel chaotic, but when you choose joy (and laughter) in the face of challenges, you’re showing your family what real faith looks like. Imagine a home where laughter is louder than worry!
Wifely Wisdom: Embrace humor and joy as an act of faith. Next time things don’t go as planned, remember Sarah and have a laugh. God is in control!

Mary of Bethany: The Art of Being Present
Mary of Bethany, Martha’s sister, gives us a lesson on prioritizing presence over perfection. When Jesus visited, Martha scurried around, stressed about everything being perfect, while Mary simply sat at Jesus’s feet, soaking in the moment (Luke 10:38-42). Martha was busy, but Mary was present.
It’s easy to get so wrapped up in making everything look “just right” that we forget to enjoy the people in our home. Our families need us to be present more than they need everything to be spotless or every meal to be flawless. Showing up with love and attentiveness makes your home a place of comfort and connection.
Wifely Wisdom: Set aside time for face-to-face moments, even if it means leaving some things undone. Be like Mary and choose presence over perfection, focusing on what really matters.

Priscilla: Partnering with Purpose
Priscilla and her husband, Aquila, were an unstoppable team in the early church. They taught others about Jesus, hosted a house church, and traveled to help grow the faith. Priscilla embraced her role as a partner in purpose, using her talents to serve alongside her husband (Acts 18:24-26).
Building a kingdom home means being a team. It’s about cheering each other on, supporting one another’s callings, and making space for God’s work in your life. When you view marriage as a partnership in faith, your home becomes a place where purpose thrives.
Wifely Wisdom: Embrace teamwork! Ask God how you and your husband can serve His purpose together. Whether it’s through ministry, hosting friends, or supporting each other’s goals, think of your marriage as a kingdom collaboration.

The Proverbs 31 Woman (Yes, Again!): Bringing It All Together
Our beloved Proverbs 31 woman makes a comeback here. Why? Because she embodies what it looks like to create an atmosphere of love, respect, and hard work. She rises early, prepares meals, cares for her household, and blesses her husband and children. Her family is blessed because she has a heart of service (Proverbs 31:10-31).
Creating a kingdom atmosphere doesn’t mean doing everything by yourself or striving to be perfect. It means putting love and purpose into every little thing you do, treating each task and each relationship as a chance to honor God. Respect flows naturally when you serve with a heart that loves God first and foremost.
Wifely Wisdom: Love and respect are best shown in the little, daily actions. Choose joy and gratitude, even in the mundane tasks. Ask God to show you how to bless your home through service and love.

A Kingdom Home is a Welcoming Home
Creating a kingdom atmosphere means making your home a safe haven, a place where grace, love, and faith dwell. It’s a space where laughter is heard often, where people feel safe to be themselves, and where everyone knows they are loved. By bringing the lessons of these ancient wives into your modern life, you’re not just building a home — you’re building a legacy that reflects the Kingdom of God.
Takeaway Prayer: “Lord, thank You for the opportunity to create a home filled with Your love, joy, and peace. Help me to honor You through my words, actions, and the atmosphere I create in our home. Guide me to serve my family with love, respect, and joy, so that all who enter may feel Your presence here. Amen.”
