Financial Stability in Marriage

A financially stable marriage is one that sees every resource that comes into the home as a gift from God. This entails stewarding finances to avoid issues in marriage. A financially stable marriage is not about having money to meet needs, it is knowing that God’s intentions for couples is that they become good caretakers of what God gives them.

The ‘for richer, for poorer’ part of the wedding vows begins with the understanding that God has a plan for finances in the marriage. As a matter of fact, knowing God’s minimum expectation for money is a way to stability and avoiding strife in marriage.
