Team Spirit
“And all that believed were together, and had all things common” – Acts 2:44
Whose side are you on?
Have you seen couples who takes sides with their children, in laws, friends, against their spouse?
It is absolutely wrong! God want us to know that we are a team, we have everything in common. The children, their behaviour, the home, the money, the house, the mistakes, the joys, the successes, the hardships, the sacrifices etc.
Years back, growing up, if a child did well in school and character, they (society) would always say it is the fathers’ contribution at work. Whereas, if the child/children misbehaved, they would say it is the mothers’ negligence.
To possess team spirit would mean a conscious acceptance of being on the same side so that we do not fight against ourselves rather, we fight beside ourselves, against our common enemy.
We need to own it together. Take responsibility together. It should be about ‘us’, not ‘me’
When we have all things together, that team spirit robs off on everyone in the home. Other members of the home can draw from that strength and be their best.
Always remember that you are on the same team with your spouse. It will quench the comparison and struggles. If he wins, you also won, if he loses, you should support them and empathize with them. It is team ‘us’ against the world! Are you struggling with having a team spirit in your home today? Bring it to Jesus today.
Prayer Moment
● Lord, I thank you for the privilege of having someone to team up with.
● Father, please have mercy on me wherever I have abused that privilege before now in Jesus name.
● Lord Jesus, may grace to work as a team come upon me and my spouse today in Jesus name.
● Thank you Lord, in Jesus name. Amen
Think Over it
What is God saying to me today?
